  • With a come along you’d also need 2 people. One to drive the vehicle out of where your stuck and one to use the come along

  • I'm glad y'all did this one...because I was gonna suggest doing the next High/Low series on Ford Explorer vs. Mercury Mountaineer...specifically 1999 4x2 4.0 SOHC. Or whatever. 😁

  • Guys, I wish y’all would go about outfitting hi low a little more seriously. You could have picked up a Badlands winch for peanuts compared to the Warn. When you did the body armor episode, the rock sliders especially, you could have picked up a cheap set of sliders instead of trying to pass off a thin wall tubular side step as a slider. When you guys worked on the 350z you did a much better job. Hell, I think a lot of your videos on Tacos are great. The off road lights and the tents were a real and fair comparison. But some of the more important things for your off road Tacos you guys dropped the ball. Come on guys, we love your content. Keep up the good work. And your personalities definitely keep us entertained. 😎

  • Calling it a "come-along" kinda make it sound like "also-ran." Should've called it "GET OVER HERE"

  • this series is wonderful, but you all tend to discount the discount on the more affordable solution (intended pun). You cant have old tacomas and say the higher priced part is the way to go even if it is better, these trucks are made for cheap asses (myself included). Maybe if you compared a modern taco with all the drippings vs an old boy with the gristle it would be an even better series. Carry on, yall are great and entertaining.

  • Should of done cheap winch vs expensive winch

  • Could gone with a $150 electric winch and still done better 🤣

  • I like Donut and enjoy the content for sure. I want to support them but $30 for a T-shirt is 12 or 15 bucks too much.

  • You couldn't let my boy go to harbor freight and get a winch? Is Warn paying for this video?

  • What bed rack did low team use?

  • Why wouldn't you just go with Harbor Freight for the low vs. a high end?

  • You both need a tv show. Love watching you guys

  • Redo the video but with a cheap electric wench.

  • They could have atleast given my guy snach block with the wench!

  • Please do a comparison between front Diff locker vs rear Diff locker. Even better if the front Diff locker is an affordable auto locker.

  • I’d like to se the series expand with a HI, lo and mid

  • What brand is the rack on hi truck?

  • next thing should be a snorkel so it can go anywhere

    • What about a cheap winch? From like harbor freight?

  • "Super secret test site"? Imagine you're just takin a hike in the desert, maybe peacefully searching for that perfect sunset photo, then all the sudden- "GIVEITTHEBEANS!" And James just lands in a ditch in front of you.

  • Those jacks can be super dangerous

  • where do you find the low truck bed rack system for sale? cant find any solution for a low one online...

  • You can't do a truck build without a gun rack. James gets a full custom 6.5 PRC with a Proof Research carbon fiber barrel, Bighorn TL3 action and NightForce scope. Nolan gets a $99 dollar muzzleloader from the bargain rack at Cabela's with a Chinese ebay red dot.

  • Im sure its been said, but the light bar is better due to low clearance trail riding

  • I’m building a 2001 Volvo V70xc budget battle wagon and this video was a help, it sealed the deal on not going with either system but instead I’m leaning towards the ARB Magnum Hand Winch. Power winch is just to heavy and mounting it is troublesome, meanwhile the come along is just not enough and setup and taking up slack takes forever. BTDubz, luv’n the low truck build.

  • Watch "DIY Hand Crank Tow Winch ($35 Ebay winch mod)" on SLflow slflow.info/town/16t3jaaKpn7RmYg/video

  • 19:17...oh I know that feel all too well lol

  • I have to be honest I kind of put off watching the truck builds because I kind of figured I would get annoyed with a lot of the stuff I saw but honestly this is the first episode that bugs me. Everything else I think they've done quite well for first time off-roaders but in this instance it would be more accurate to compare a cheap harbor freight winch versus a good name brand winch. Now I can see a couple reasons they did this for one it's funny, number two Nolan's truck doesn't have a provision for winch and I don't know if they are willing to trust the bumper they built to hold a winch. All in all love the episodes but I just wanted to put that out there.

  • Wow

  • Got that winch to get you out of a pinch

  • Best. Ad. Ever. I actually watched the whole initial ad. Well done.

  • 6:30 sent me

  • 16:03 LIT 🔥

  • What about a cheap winch? From like harbor freight?

  • We should do mid truck high truck

  • Dale frijoles

  • Ok, how is this even close to being comparable? So far it's been tires/wheels vs tires/wheels Locker vs locker Lift kit vs lift kit Same thing vs same thing This is not by any means a comparison, a cheap winch vs expensive winch would be a lot more informative as a comparison with a lot less disparity. Thereby making the information useful.

  • Anybody know what bed rail system low team used?

  • What’s that jerrycans set up high truck ?

  • This is a poor comparison. It's like comparing a shop vac to a broom and dust pan instead a different shop vac. A come along is a necessary accessory to go along with the winch in order pull laterally in any direction the winch in unable to pull.

  • to fill in double duty as a truck winch.

  • I, for one, like the choice of using the come along. Keep the lo-truck low and the hi-truck high. Content would be so much more watered down if everything was just reasonable

  • Low team, Strip weight go fast

  • I think it should be “does more expensive mean better value per dollar” because better .. i mean come on, 2012 corolla against a 3.2m $ bugatti.. of course expensive is better, but is it better value? (In this case yes because it costs ab 5m to make a bugatti and they lose 2m/car but u get the point)

    • Rough Country sells a fantastic 9000lb winch for $300. That would be an ideal comparison

  • I think that the High Low thing is less about price and more about weight. LOL

  • Come along gives you more options. With a bumper mount winch you can really only pull forward. I mean you can adjust a little bit with blocks but not much. With a come along you can side pull or even pull back. I wouldn't feel bad about just carrying a come along. I also paid less than half that for a 12k bumper mount....

  • Could’ve just went top of a line winch vs cheap harbor freight winch. Better comparison. Still love the content. Funny stuff

  • i dislike the lack of donuts actually on this channel of donut media. maybe get more donuts and i'll like this channel more.

  • many movable parts break faster, a mobile rescue device like a come along can be carried anywhere. For veteran survivalists like myself a CUM - ALONG will always be first. Having a winch bolted to a vehicle that can no longer move is the same thing as throwing away money. But it's nice to have for sure.

  • Mr Jobe has literally turned into car jesus with his beard and hair

  • Y’all be careful with those jacks they can kill y’all if used even slightly wrong in the perfectly wrong way. Make sure you watch a good how to on it.

  • Heyy guys! I have a question: How much more does the Hi truck weight than the low truck? (in Kgs pls - you have fans in Brazil!) It seems that this will make a lot of difference on a trail AND in the "normal" life. In the end you will have two vehicles: A weekend truck that is not worth to drive in dally and a very nice all around truck that you can go shooping or travel without looking like a "I WANNA BE RAMBO" guy. Besides that, on the mud and loose sand, the weight makes a huge difference.

  • That’s a small come-along.. I have a 12,000 lbs come-along and it is amazing

  • The biggest point you missed was… The come along can be moved from vehicle to vehicle. Totally portable. And it’s not heavy either.

  • whoever the hell is your team doing the editing needs a raise

  • In my opinion, I’d have liked to of seen a comparison between the $1200 9000lb wench and a $340 9000lb wench from harbor freight.

  • You Americans need a Dacia Duster.

  • I have a 10,000 lb wireless smittybilt winch, way better and cheaper

  • Rough Country sells a fantastic 9000lb winch for $300. That would be an ideal comparison

  • What is with the boom mic in the shot and the jump cut half way through a word in the last minute? Come on production value, this is not what we expect from donut

  • The biggest point you missed was… The come along can be moved from vehicle to vehicle. Totally portable. And it’s not heavy either.

  • Why are winches so expensive? They are little more than a gear motor and a spool.

  • I'm not even going to watch this comparison, and just say more expensive is better on this one...

  • Can Nolan get high car next? This is starting to feel kind of unfair. Dude gives so much depth to the topics and with this series, really makes the convention to the average person. Sure high car gets the best from the get go, but most people I know start with cheap to achieve their goals and gradually upgrade to the higher quality stuff as things break. Nolan needs a win on the channel for the average Joe.

    • Regarding to make millions investment

    • Please do a cheap winch vs expensive winch torture test. Warn Evo vs Smitty built or badlands!! Thx guys

  • Of course the California boys needed a Texas truck to get out of a pickle

  • "To the winch, wench!"

  • I love yall's videos but this wasn't a fair comparison you could have got him like a $300 wench from harbor freight

  • paying $80 for back pain just doesn’t sit right with me

  • so what.... u have an anchor point, could almost do it with the guys there...smh come on thats not a test lol

  • I will attest to the traction boards, I was stuck as heck in this incredibly sticky clay. It sunk into the gaps between my tread and made my tires like drag slicks. A guy with some traction boards slid them under, gave me a little tug and I got right out.

  • Walmart electric wench is under $100

  • "silly problems to have for something that expensive" that's what low team should say :D because if I pay such a price, then I expect quality.

  • If it can pull James it can pull any truck. 🤭

  • 1200 and no synthetic cable, both got ripped off, those farm Jack's are come along as well

  • Harbor freight sells winch's. Why not spend like 200 and get a electric winch cable instead of a come along.

  • Would love for next season to be Nolan on high and James on low!

  • You couldn't just buy a winch from Harbor Freight? The come-along is actually dangerous to use if you exceed it's capacity. It could buckle, bend, and leave you injured.

  • Please do a cheap winch vs expensive winch torture test. Warn Evo vs Smitty built or badlands!! Thx guys

  • Those come alongs are garbage. They should of had lo car get a cheaper winch.

  • If you do another season of hi-low nolan and his team needa get the expensive parts

  • In my friend group with am certified winch bitch - if I had to use a come along I would come along on different off roading trips

  • You should have taken the high trucks bumpers in to get sprayed with bedliner I mean it's literally there for taking impacts and paint will scrape off or chip.

  • Only problem with the winch, you can only pull yourself foreword, come along can pull any direction that you have a tow hook

  • You guys should go to Black Bear pass when you guys are done with them.

  • Why is Nolan always low team? Y’all should switch for the next one.

  • Pretty sure the High truck rack isn’t supposed to be floating above the bed rail like that…. Any one know what brand it is???

  • This is rather fun to watch, because I can see literally my buddies truck build appearing with High Truck. I think he dropped like $20-$30k in add-ons and upgrades and I want to say added over a ton of extra weight. (Also for the record he has needed his winch at least twice ... well almost, we did get out without one time, didn't have diff locks)

  • I wish they did a high priced name brand winch and a cheapy harbor freight winch to make it seem more fair. I mean you can get a 5000lbs winch for $200

  • You can buy a winch for these for less than 2-300 bucks. Why would you use a come along?

  • 8000 lb winches at harbor freight arent expensive

  • using a chain with the come-along gives you a better option than straps as you can attach to any link.

  • $1200 winch and it’s still a metal line. Gotta go synthetic

  • alot of winches are much cheaper and alot of off-road vehicles dont need that strong of a winch because they weigh less like the jimny

  • low car, should have bought a harbor fright winch

  • The cable weigh go's in the center of the cable, you should compare like a cheap winch the badlands to a more expensive one that would be more real world comparison 🤔

  • I feel for Nolan... Going bottom of the barrel vs top of the line is not fair.... There are more fair comparisons possible

  • I kind of really wish they compared the high truck wench to like a harbor freight electric wench or something like that. There are a lot of budget electric wenches out there that would of been sweet to see if they work.

  • Who was the guy using the jack asa gun, we need to see him in more videos

    • Jared, its jared, show us more jared

  • take them on a 500 mile off road trip for the final episode

  • You guys have to make toy cars of the animated hilow trucks at the start.I would buy them. But the pins are still cool
