  • drew, youre in the middle of the screen, get out of the way

  • ya know you look like that guy from cyber chase who would tell you after the episode how to use math in real life

  • Who needs therapy when you have drew

  • Damelio show is Kardashians part 2

  • this show is so white 😩

  • Dude, it's so weird, you always make videos I watch! Seriously, how do you do it??

  • I randomly decided to watch the first episode and ended up watching the whole thing. By the time it was over, I felt really bad for Charli and Dixie. I don’t care what anyone says, their “teams” around them are *not* looking out for their best interest; their aim is to make money because it is their job to get the girls to do their jobs. The well-being of Charli and Dixie will never truly be at the forefront; it’s business, which is why the entertainment industry is not ideal for children/teenagers.

  • so they got a show bc they waved their hands in the air and called it dancing

  • I'd love to have a Drew haunting my house.

  • does nothing. these parents need to do more to keep their kids safe. because rn it doesn’t seem like they are taking their children’s mental health to seriously.

  • HOw much money do you make from affiliate marketing? Say, on this video, from HelloFresh

  • big dad energy

    • sometimes realism is more terrifying

  • Hey where did you get your footage for this video !! I really need it for mine please , love you yours 💞💞

  • I have been on quarantine for the past two weeks because I ended up diagnosed with Covid, this is when I found your channel and I have watched so many of your videos lol so thank you, for making the boredom bearable!

  • I like the way this was respectful towards them but also hilarious at the same time,I honestly thought this would be a hate video but I actually loved this so much 😃

  • This is a great video, Drew. V smart 👍

  • I was listening to house of cards before I clicked this video and I c in rainbows on ur wall 👀

  • Don’t you hate that awkward moment when you’re replying to an Instagram post and accidentally type the Declaration of Independence

  • i’m sorry BUT… all DIXIE does is stand there …. in the back.. that’s how she got famous… she could’ve taken this money and opportunities and gone to school or started a business she’s actually interested but the entertainment business idk if she belongs in it 😅

  • am lil’ stink

  • binchtopia podcast did a rly interesting couple of episodes on childhood fame in the age of social media, incase anyone wants to check them out ! titles r "tiktok killed the radio star" and "honey, i monetized the kids"

  • I am surprised how the parents are not held accountable for the exploitation...

  • Now do He’s All That, starring Addison Rae

  • I hope they see this video and feel a little better

  • Thank you for sharing donation links for Hurricane Ida relief. ♥️♥️♥️ I’ve lived in Louisiana for most of my life, and have never personally experienced such devastation. Thank you, Drew. Seriously, thank you. ♥️⚜️ Edit: For anyone reading this comment that may want to donate, I also recommend looking into an organization named the Cajun Navy as well. They were founded in 2016, but their “young age” hasn’t stopped them from doing absolutely amazing and miraculous things in Louisiana and Texas, providing disaster relief for several months after minds have forgotten about it.

  • So if I'm understanding this right, the D'amelio's became famous basically overnight, and Charlie and Dixie never had time to really learn the skills that being famous requires you to learn leading to a lot of anxiety and mental troubles. However, they became famous overnight. Something millions of people have wished for. And have achieved their dreams before hitting 21, including a several million dollar mansion, reality shows, music careers, etc. It's a dilemma cause I want to feel bad but I also feel like they don't deserve what they got. So isn't this really just the world balancing out? Still, these are people first and that's cruel. So I really don't know

  • This video alone has done the very best job of making me no longer wish I was famous. Instead, I'll be rich but irrelevant. Like the son of a billionaire who isn't flocked by the paparazzi Edit: but in all serious this does a better job at showcasing the dark side of fame than spooky watch mojo style videos with dramatic music because it's realistic. And sometimes realism is more terrifying

  • This guy is so nice ahh

  • I think this is the sweetest roast by drew that I have seen. He knows that whatever is happening is not good, and yet here he is genuinely concerned for the people involved in that situation rather than calling them out, which anyway wouldn't have been the correct way to approach this situation from an outsider perspective. I always respect Drew for making such self aware content and many times even reading what's on my mind! ❤️

  • This reality reminds me to BoJack Horseman in many ways. Good damn was that an exquisitely well-made satire about being famous and more so, being human. Love that show with every inch of my very soul.

  • so… is this show good? like ummm

  • Boo boo 😭

  • Imagine copying a dance you saw online and becoming the next Lindsay Lohan child actor

  • Hey drew not sure if you noticed but you left your camera running

  • You should be their coach

  • The Black Lives Matter logo in Damelio's TikTok profile told me all I need to know about this woke, virtue-signalling crap. Good video though.

  • Add a public comment...

  • I personally don’t like the show, and the reason why is because it was a total downer. The whole tone is set to be sad and depressing (like with the comments and overall conversations and events). I feel like it was set there intentionally to lower hate comments and grow sympathy. I do feel bad for the girls obviously I can’t imagine how hard it is in the public eye, but I have heard people compare this show to the Kardashian show, but I don’t think it will ever come close because the Kardashians were iconic because they didn’t focus on one emotions and one conflict, but this show honestly did. The projects the girls did were cut extremely short which could have been way better than the running idea of them being sad and depressed. Awareness is important, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to make that the main idea of the show and that’s how it came off to me, and hearing over and over again in each episode, the show quickly became predictable and boring. I hope if they renew the show for season 2, they won’t take the same route they did with this season.

  • this guys hilarious he should make a vine account

  • You actually changed my hole liife with one sentence and you don't even know it.

  • "Hey guyy.."😅🥰 0:00

  • This take is premium.

  • Oh gawd...they have their own show now? Greeeeeeaaaat!

  • You made me want a tiktoker to succeed. You are more than a commentary SLflowr

  • He looks like jennxpenn

  • the binder scene was so baffling to see, i cant even imagine someone controlling a child

  • b-tech Keeping Up with the Kardashians

  • Thanks for these serious, but sooo important perspective and thoughts! I totally agree with everything you said (and thought through).

  • I get your point but I’m sorry I just can’t feel bad for these people. Except for the fact that Charlie is still young and probably not very aware. However, there are so many kids working 2x as hard as this struggling to put food on the table. I really wish people would stop acting like being famous is a curse. If you don’t like it then just stop. Go find a “normal” job. But the truth is they don’t want to. They want to be famous and they want the money but do not want to face repercussions which is just not possible

    • You can't just 'stop' when you're as famous as Charlie, you will always be followed by paparazzi and always be recognised. Also like Drew said, she has so much pressure to keep providing this money for her family.

  • From tiktok to this. What am I doing with my life

  • I've been having such a stressful day and I needed to watch something to watch and I can't tell you how happy I am to see this vjdeo

  • This makes me glad im a "nano influencer", not too big of an audience to be overwhelmed but not too small where I would get no engagement

  • Petition: A collaboration between Drew Gooden and Kurtis Connor. They have relatively similar styles of humor and I think they'd be amazingly funny together

  • I didnt expect this video to be such an informative and thought out commentary on interesting topics. Thank you very muhc for your insights and take my sub. Enjoy your day

  • If i had so much money i would just keep making cringy dances and live a good rich life. Not get managers.

  • ffs Drew, now i feel bad

  • You look like Sid from ice age but in a good way

  • She’s so pretty though

  • Drew my respect for you just grew tenfold. (edit) Please don't take this as pressure to make 600 more expose'-style commentaries on our society's fractured social structure, each more bombastic than the last.

  • I’m glad that this isn’t just another chance taken to hate on tiktokers

    • Also One Day is lowkey a bop idc wat anyone says 😭🤚 is catchy and fun✨

  • The way we talk about who “deserves” to be famous is almost like it’s not us making them famous

  • i'm convinced that those who comment things like "Oh go cry in your quadrillion dollar home" are the most shallow people in the world.

  • Nice looking?

  • The parents are not helping these girls. Their too soft and have zero life skills like 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️their too Dumb to function and the parents aren’t helping by just going along with it.

  • I love your humor 😭

    • My dog died but you’re cool

  • Drew, I have a conspiracy theory that may be a little wack and a little silly 🤪: they could just be acting and just trying to make money.

  • I hope the D'amelio sisters see this

  • Are they still not paying, threatening to sue, and harassing that photographer whose photos they used.

  • Such an honest and balanced review!!!!!

  • this is an incredibly sympathetic video. I've always really disliked the d'amelios, because I truly believe they do not deserve to be famous and they never should've gotten the platform they got. I've never like hated them as people, but they're so uncharming and uninteresting that I can't help but be frustrated. but damn this video is really kind and understanding. I certainly don't like the d'amelios more now, but I'm glad you made this video. it kind of never hit me that these girls literally have no other option now. they really are forced into this lifestyle. and in general, no teenager should be famous the way they are. as much as I don't enjoy the two girls as celeb personas, I don't think it's okay at ALL the way people online talk about and treat these young women. just by proxy, I know their parents are abusive purely by enabling this to happen to their daughters. I sincerely hope they are able to make it out of this and do whatever they want with their lives. I have a feeling they're going to head in the Olson twin direction, which sucks that that has to happen to anyone, but dear God I just want these young women to be happy.

  • Great video and great points Drew. Gotta say tho, it’s still reality tv and not a documentary. Like all reality tv they’re obviously going to try and drum up/script as much drama as they can, especially if they’re as boring as you say. Taking what you see on the show as being the same as their actual day to day lives is kinda naive.

  • why are u fat now. cries

    • About that is he's not even fat and you're the type of person that gives people dysmorphia and eating problems.

  • Liked that I Think You Should Leave reference

  • dang was not expecting this breakdown but really agree with the points made lately i'm really seeing the problems with fame at a young age

  • Yo Drew! I love your videos and commentary, I think it would be really cool to see honest commentary on the genre of fictional mystery podcasts. I know it's a pretty niche category but there are some really good ones out there that I think a lot of people would like (or not like, depending on the ones you choose;) I actually just published the first season of my mystery podcast (The Eyes: Audio Mystery Podcast) and it would be really cool to get some honest feedback on it. I've only had the opportunity to get feedback from family and friends but I feel like having an unbiased review would be really useful when making more content in the future. You won't hurt my feelings if you don't like it too, asking for feedback always has a risk of receiving negative feedback XD. Thanks for considering guy!

  • Tell the truth… has anyone ever seen Charlie on their FYP?? I mean even when you just downloaded TT and you fyp hadn’t been customized yet. Not once has she come on mine and I’ve been on it for nearly 2 years. I can’t be the only one

  • Her family was wealthy before this not millionaires but they were pretty wealthy .. boohoo she stops making money and then they move into a smaller mansion 🙄🙄🙄

    • @Brandy Johnson I’m not saying that to her lmao

    • Okay why are you saying that to her then she's a f****** teenager. People have such a weird complex with rich people to the point where it's kind of scary.

  • This is why I haven’t done a face reveal

  • I felt bad for them too......

  • My dog died but you’re cool

  • This is literally child labor

  • I watched the first episode on disney + and I couldn't get passed it.

  • AAAA WHAT MY MOM IS A PRODUCER ON THIS SHOW I'M SURPRISED U MADE A VIDEO ON IT

  • Apperantly some people were saying they were the next kardeshians. Loooooooooooolllllll😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  • If i were their mom, i would be so sad for them. "I can't let this go on. Take a pause from social media, right now!" I would want them to be happy, and if they get mental breakdowns something has to change.

  • you expressed everything i was feeling

  • Why do they need a show? Their dad was Hella loaded before Charli got TikTok

  • This was actually very interesting and insightful; different from what I thought when I clicked. Thanks

  • I feel really bad for Charli. All she wants to do is dance, and people hate on her dancing, so she loses her self esteem :(

    • They hate on her for taking dances and the popularity and profit from the actual creators besides just dancing. But I blame that on the media too.

  • If they wrote their own hate comments, WHY ARE THEY SPELT WRONG WITH THE GRAMMAR OF A 3RD GRADER

  • That scene with all the binders and how her entire year is all planned out literally feels like it came out of a horror movie. Like if I was a parent, I don't think I'd even let half this stuff happen. Like sure, if a brand wanted my kid to hold their product in one of the videos they were already planning on making that would be fine (and I'd put the money away in a savings account for them so they could use it later in life for college or whatever). But to the point of having a manager and getting gigs and doing all this other stuff... no I don't think I'd be willing to sign that contract on my child's behalf. That's too much pressure. And it's not even that I think the D'Amelio parents are necessarily terrible people. I don't know them personally. It can be just as overwhelming to have your child suddenly rocket into stardom and riches and they may not have taken the time to think about how it could affect their kids psychologically in the long term. They may think, that by allowing their kids to pursue this stuff, they are looking out for their futures and their careers. It's just a sad situation.

  • obviously working solely from your phone and getting paid figures on figures is much more privileged than working a 9-5, minimum wage, or manual labor job, but i wish people would remember that EVERY job has its downfalls even in what seems like a dream come true. mental struggles, physical struggles, financial struggles - they’re all things no one deserves to have to go through. i’m indifferent to lots of social media stars, but i do empathize with the fact they have to deal with all this on camera, in public seeing as how i struggle with mental health while no one is watching me. i hope all child stars now and later get the proper protection and care they need from family or an adult who cares bc this industry really is so scary :/

  • Literally thank you for mentioning the Hurricane and Louisiana. I haven’t seen a single influencer or remotely famous person talk about it. So many people lost literally everything they owned including their home. Lots of people still don’t have power. The southern half of the state is still pretty much in shambles. It’s nice to just hear someone acknowledge it. Thank you.

  • why are u so smart

  • Every problem or bad situation is valid, even if you’re rich. You can have a lot of money and still have a shitty life, and experience awful things, so yeah, i agree

    • @LVBBoi Exactly, like...yes, there is worse, but also better, so what's the point? It doesn´t make the person feel better, that thinking just doesn´t seem to help the actual problem that the person is facing

    • Yep Just because there are worse situations that does not invalidate your issues

  • are the road work ahead guy

  • Charli parents are basically depending on her to pay the bills…..

  • That show is so depressing because that's exactly the shit Bo Burnham was talking about on Inside, "Maybe… maybe the flattening of the entire subjective human experience into a lifeless exchange of value that benefits nobody, except for a handful of bug-eyed salamanders in Silicon Valley. Maybe that as a way of life forever… maybe that’s, um, not good."

  • I saw an ad for this pop up on Hulu and I only knew who they were because of videos you and Danny have made and I have to say... I hate you guys for making me know who these people are.

  • i want the damelios to watch this its really fair.
